The Cooperative

The Agricultural Fisheries Cooperative of Neochori "Skali" was established in 2002 with its headquarters in Neochori of the Municipality of Messolonghi of the Prefecture of Aitoloakarnania and is governed by the provisions of Law No. 4673/2020. The cooperative is registered in the National Register of Agricultural Cooperatives and other collective bodies under the number AM 0701004.

Until now since 2018 the cooperative leases and exploits the lagoon of Paleopotamos.

The Lagoon of Paleopotamos

The belongs to the Messolonghi-Etoliko lagoon complex, which is bounded by the river Evinos, the river Acheloos, the Ionian Sea to the west and the Gulf of Patras to the south. It is the fish farm located at the western end of the complex and is a closed type lagoon.
